Transforming Scarves into Art | Two Montreal Businesses Collaborate
Have you noticed how plain traditional winter scarves can be? Imagine if instead you could wear a handcrafted scarf with a story behind its creation?
We've created that scarf. By collaborating with a local business and nonprofit organization, we've created a scarf with a combination of modal fabric, wool, and mulberry silk. A scarf that combines art and story with the clothing you wear.
Who are We? Nathon Kong
Nathon Kong is a Montreal-based fashion designer that wants you to have an emotional connection to what you wear. We do this by incorporating a story into everything we make.
We use high quality materials such as mulberry silk to create silk fashion accessories that give back to the community. We collaborate closest with Les Impatients, a nonprofit organization that supports artists with a mental health difficulty through therapeutic art programs. We give 10% of the proceeds from the sale of silk fashion accessories to Les Impatients so they can continue to support these artists.

Who is m0851?
m0851 is a Montreal-based designer and manufacturer of charming leather bags, accessories, jackets and other outerwear. Their philosophy is to combine functionality with an aesthetically pleasing design.
m0851 uses high quality, raw materials such as full grain leather, silk, cashmere, wood, and metal from eco-conscious sources. The use of natural materials cause the leather accessories to age well, each one becoming distinct to the individual. Many of their products are made by local artisans in Montreal, from conception to creation.
Winter Scarves that Express a Story
In the hectic year of 2020, Nathon Kong collaborated with m0851 to create a collection of winter scarves.
These scarves combines the tightly woven mulberry silk of Nathon Kong and artwork by Les Impatients and with the combination of modal fabric and wool created by m0851.
10% of the proceeds are donated to Les Impatients to support mental health awareness, as well m0851's local artisans who contributed to the creation of this winter collection of scarves.
Each scarf is made in limited edition and are sent with a certificate of authenticity. The certificate details the winter scarf's edition number and the story of the artist who created the artwork.
