Tuxedo, Smoking Jacket, and Wedding Suit | Which is Better?
One of the decisions you have to make when planning your wedding is what kind of wedding suit you are going to wear.
There is no easy answer to this. It mostly depends on the style of the wedding and how you want to look. Here are some key points going for each style of suit.
Here is how you can choose what suit to wear to a wedding.
When trying to decide what you are going to wear to a wedding, a fashion designer can be an invaluable source for advice and recommendations. Even if you have no clue what you want from your suit, Nathon Kong can help select the outfit that will be perfect for your wedding.
Bespoke Wedding Suit
Bespoke suits can be an interesting choice since they are the kind of suit you will be most likely to reuse after the wedding. They can be made with a variety of fabrics, and the rules of how to style them are less strict. You can wear anything from a necktie to a silk scarf, and may even decide to wear a waistcoat, too.
Groom's Tuxedo
Tuxedos are considered a much more formal suit, and may be more appropriate for your type of wedding. There are a more restrictions on tuxedo outfits, from what kind of colours you wear. In general, you exclusively wear a bow tie with a tux and avoid waistcoats.

Men's Smoking Jacket
Despite this suit's luxurious, velvet appearance, smoking jackets can be considered a little more informal than other wedding outfits. This in part has to do with the history of the jacket.
Smoking jackets were originally designed to be suits worn while people smoked, hence why they were made from velvet. The fabric both protected the outfit and absorbed the smell of smoke.
Velvet smoking jackets were designed to absorb the aroma of smoke.
As smoking is becoming less prevalent in our culture, so too are smoking jackets. However, one of the things you have to remember about the wedding picture is that it lasts forever. You want to make sure your suit has a timeless appearance, and a smoking jacket does that.
Art to Remember
Speaking of memory, an important thing to remember about your wedding is how you feel when you wear a suit. Both in how confident you feel in your appearance and the emotional connection you have to what you wear.
